Parker Darnell
A calling to Jasper.
Parker has been a licensed minister since age 18 and is an ordained Bishop in the Assemblies of God. He met Starla at Lee University, where their shared love for Jesus and people began shaping the life they would build together.
He completed seminary at International Bible College in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, and finished his studies at Patten University in Oakland, California. Before becoming lead pastor, Parker served as a youth pastor.
He has been the lead pastor of a congregation since 2010. At 42, Parker is married to Starla and is dad to Judah, Esther, and Jediah. He carries a deep sense of God-ordained calling to Jasper and is grateful to serve Cornerstone Church.
Starla Darnell
A life rooted in people.
Starla is a licensed minister, born in Houston, Alabama, and from Jasper, AL. She met Parker at Lee University and has shared the work of ministry and family with him ever since.
Starla is currently the MUSIC PASTOR at Cornerstone Church and also teaches Bible at Sumiton Christian School for grades 6-12. She earned her undergraduate degree from Liberty University and is currently completing her Master's in Theology at Fuller Seminary. At 42, she is a wife to Parker and mother to Judah, Esther, and Jediah.
